Johnson links with No. 1 retalier in Thailand, CRC (2012.10)

Johnson’s top manager confirms its official contract with Central Retail Corporation (CRC) as the largest retailer and the leading department store in Thailand. As reported, CRC has about 80% of the local fitness market. Under the operation of CRC, Johnson plans to open 40 stores by the end of this month altogether. Undoubtedly, this is another significant jump and a strategic advantage for Johnson to become the leading fitness brand in the Asian, European and American markets.

The General Manager of Johnson Fitness Tec. disclosed on Oct. 25th that Johnson has bought Magnum, a well-known American weight-training manufacturer in Wisconsin State and Fitness Resource, a fitness exclusive store in Washington. In the near future, Johnson plans to open new stores in L.A. and Texas. Promisingly, the American sales turnover of Johnson will rise.

BSMI announced the 1st national standards of fitness equipment (2012.10)

On October 5th, 2012, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced the Central National Standards of 9 fitness eqipment.

After one-year improvement, all S-Team members needs to undergo an external evaluation. (2012.10)

After an internal discussion, S-Team’s General Affairs Bureau reaches an consensus. After one-year improvement, all S-Team have to undergo an external evaluation. Thus, there could be an overview of all members’ progress.

Industrial alliance has been taking its form among Taiwan’s industrial clusters; in the meantime, the alliance members need to recognize the concepts of Lean Production Management and put into practices. Taiwan S-Team Elite League also tries hard to improve their production management. Hopefully, they can create a new way for Taiwan’s fitness industry and setup as a good model for other industries. Accordingly, all S-Team has to take part in the evaluation mechanism.

Due to there is no single standard of internal evaluation, the new resolution at the S-Team meetings: all members have to participate in an external evaluation so as to have an overview of all members’ progress. As scheduled, all external evaluations shall be completed by the end of December. Wishing to initiate the counseling mechanism of SPS in 2013, all S-Teams member are resolute to take actions to strengthen their basics of productions.
